End of Season Party

Date & Time: Saturday 14 April 2012 from 6:00pm

Venue: Manley Park (Stanley Rodillians RUFC)

Cost: £5 by advanced ticket (£8 on the night*) includes Hog Roast Supper Sandwich and trimmings

Dress Code: Whatever you want


* We really would prefer you to buy your tickets in advance.  This will allow us to get the right amount of supper.

This year you might think there is nothing to celebrate from the playing side with us being relegated. We did experience some disruption with the loss of our Head Coach after a poor run of form early on.  Fortunately Gary stepped in and, after turning the ship around, managed to get the squad playing competitive rugby. There are many things we should be celebrating;

  1. Encouraging to see more game time for younger players.
  2. Recruiting of players from outside of the game.
  3. The squad stuck together in spite of the results.
  4. Dilks had a week off and we won a game. †

We want to show people how close knit we are as a Club and one way of doing that is by coming to enjoy this night together.

† I am not suggesting a correlation. No, honestly. I'm not.  OK, I am.

New Website (again!)

This is the third iteration of the Rodillians Online website.  We have seen a number of changes over the years from a single webmaster to a team working on the Pitchero hosted website. 

Now we are looking at getting the best from both worlds.  We want more control over the content so we are not at the mercy of Pitchero but we did like the automagic that occurred with that site.

So this is the early result... it will become 'live' proper in time for next season.  Up until then I will be busily adding content and encouraging people to submit articles for inclusion. 

Players Meeting

Players meeting will be held on Tuesday 17 April from 9:00pm in the clubhouse.  There are two agenda items.

  1. What we enjoyed and didn't enjoyed about this season
  2. Election of Captains

Please have a think about these items so we can learn how to mould the training for next season.

 

Captain

If you want to stand for captain next season and you fulfil the criteria set out you need to be nominated and seconded by members of the club.  You should send nominations to Richard Matthews.
